Abstract

This article carries out research on the use of “green” vehicles in urban freight transport as an alternative to the sustainability problems promoted by the Last Mile for the logistics sector, especially due to the impacts of the upward urbanization process and without planning combined with the intensification of mass consumption and the growth of omnichannel retail. Currently, the environmental issue is at the heart of global discussions, where the reduction of CO² emissions into the atmosphere is part of a global pact, in this sense, last mile logistics is an emerging area of research with growing study interest, where “Green” vehicles appear as a viable alternative. The methodology used for this article is literature review and bibliographical, qualitative and descriptive research. It is understood that the widespread adoption of green vehicles in urban logistics can contribute to reducing problems such as environmental pollution, global warming and dependence on oil.
